Data Collection Forms

The Data Collection forms referenced in some older REM documentation are archaic forms which we do not recommend being used.  You will be much more efficient if you create your own form, reflecting the types of buildings you see and the way you move through them to collect data.  
The best data collection will minimize the additional processing needed.  In the evolving world of tablet computers, smart phones, and other such devices, it's not clear what will be the best solution in the long run.  We are putting the finishing touches on an XML import feature for REM;  this will allow for a variety of electronic input devices and tools, as long as those devices and tools create the correct XML format for REM to import.  There are some developers working on such input tools now.
